This is Iplehouse Stella (face-up by Angel Toast), with an EID "tattoo" body which has been painted by BJD face-up artist Vitta Vera; Stella has been posed and photographed by Lyanne. Stella's body originally belonged to Pamela, but I popped Stella on this body for a photo-shoot with my friend Lyanne, and she looked wonderful on it - so she got to keep it! The "carved" tattoos on the torso and thigh are picked out in peacock blue metallic thread and enhanced with tiny Swarovski crystals. Stella's hands and feet have been blushed by Vitta Vera and her feet enhanced with "barefoot sandals". The painting is incredibly delicate and beautiful. Here is a close-up of one foot (this is a flat foot - her heel feet have a different design - isn't her "pedicure" just perfect? And a peacock feather in bronze and blue has been added to her back;

I've just realized that I never posted pictures of my banner lady! Here she is; Dollmore Tattoo Socheon, given the name of Xochilt (pronounced So-cheel) by my friend Bren. Yes, she is tattooed ALL over her body. They are beautiful. The tattoos are inscribed into the resin surface, and then inked. Edit: I should add that the tattoos must have been inscribed on the model from which she was cast. Ten copies of each of this model (colour scheme) were made, and she is the second model. There are two more models after her. The black colour appears to have been brushed into the incisions with just the coloured portions being painted. That's still a lot of work! And the original model was painted all over. To me, she is embodiment of joy and Spring. She is photographed here with spring flowers from my garden, photographed in October, I think. Spot the unicorn...
As well as body blushing Griffin, I've been working on modding an SID Iplehouse body to fit Elfdoll June head. I bought June's head from Elfdoll in late 2013 when Elfdoll stated that they were discontinuing all their existing sculpts. I bought the body from a fellow Den of Angels forum member with a neck mod already done, which was great as I probably would never have dared to do anything quite this drastic otherwise. This is my first ever mod, and it was pretty nerve-racking. I started just sanding the neck, which needed to be thinned further, but that took ages. So I bought a dremel, and got stuck in. I also widened and deepened the neck-well; and if I ever do another mod like this I will do a lot more work on the neck-well, and thin down the neck less. However, June looks very pretty on her new body. She has the default company face-up, with the lips pinked up a bit. I've given her a new name - Laetitia Summers. She has been named after the Roman goddess of joy, happiness and festivity. I wanted a summery name for her, so Laetitia is also a play on words - L'Ete being the French for Summer. She has subtle body blushing, hand and feet blushing and temporary tattoos. There are more photos of Laetitia in my Flickr album;
https://www.flickr.com/photos/fringe_of_heaven/sets/72157650566163142 What I have been doing for the past month... my very first body blushing exercise... using Griffin, a BJD hybrid with a Soom Ender head on an SID Iplehouse body. They are both normal skin, but Soom NS is a lot pinker. His head has been blushed to tone with the body by the artist who did his face-up. I bought him from a Den of Angels member who resides in Brazil, and he was customized there. Unfortunately I can't remember who did his face-up. |
