I bought some pieces of ruffle fabric from Etsy, and when my pretty light brown Aria (Leilani) arrived, I created a sort of evening gown for her by pinning the fabric at the back. Well, I liked it so much, I quickly made it up into a dress, modelled by Laetitia. She is seen here with Karel (Iplehouse nYID boy Oscar). I made another dress toute suite for (peach gold) Aria... and a little top...

Yesterday I assisted Lyanne with a photo-shoot with Sylvie, my Soom Breccia.
Sylvie is on a normal skin, new style body. It is interesting to see how others view one's BJD's - Lyanne immediately picked out a MonaeGlow gown which I would not have thought of putting on Sylvie. Add a glowing Monique wig in carrot red, and Sylvie becomes a stunning enchantress. Iplehouse nYID Oscar was already dressed for a dance-party, so we added him to the photo-shoot. His black and white gear makes a nice contrast to the verdigris and copper of Sylvie's ensemble. This photo-shoot reinforced my opinion that it is better to hide a distracting background with a dropcloth than try to get rid of it later. Digital manipulation is easy to detect and photos are generally better without, although I generally like to brighten photos up so that they ping off the monitor. Sylvie looks very lovely. Now, I wonder what her escort is whispering in her ear? |
