I was going to sell this gown... so I thought I'd take some nice photos of it - now I don't want to sell it!
Picture
Picture

The lovely model is my lplehouse Aria, in light brown resin.  She is a couple of years old, and the current light brown is darker - very close to RacconDoll dark mocha (conveniently!).

Her oh-so-beautiful wig is "Aphrodite", by Amadiz Studio, and her earrings are by me.
Picture

Oddly enough, the top skirts of this gown are photographing as a lemon colour - which I thought is was from the promotional photos.  However, they are actually a creme brulee, which is more apparent in this photo.  The model here is my Feeple65 Angela.  For some reason, it is easier to get the SID-size MonaeGlow gowns on Angela than on an SID (very tight squeeze - good thing they don't have to breathe!).

The Three Faces of... Doria

I finally got a face-up for Doria that I really, really like!

Here's Doria with a fresh new look from face-up artist Angel Toast; and I just love her soft, gentle expression;
Picture

And here is her previous look - also a face-up by Angel Toast, a very striking 'elvish' look;
Picture

Not quite as intense with the eyebrows partly covered;
Picture

She looked extraordinarily like my Fairyland Feeple65 Angela in this incarnation - here's Angela here;
Picture

And here is Doria's first incarnation from Iplehouse, a combination of two of her 'basic' face-ups, which was lovely, but not quite as I had imagined it;

After seeing Chloe in a red wig, I just had to get one for my Feeple65 Angela; this is  Jpopdolls wig style "Kye" in colour "Mad Flame".
Picture
Picture

Incidentally, the Jpopdolls wig sizes used here are 8/9" and comfortably fit the Feeple65 heads which are 9.25 inches in circumference.  I have tried this size on Iplehouse EID ladies and they look okay but not fit snugly.  In their case a 7/8" would be more appropriate.

Lyanne has some fun with Chloe(s)

Lyanne had some fun with my Feeple65 Chloe - these are actually two different face-plates.

Shown below is "Dreaming Chloe, who has had her down-cast eyes opened up a bit and been given a pretty face-up by BJD face-up artist Nomyens (Thailand).

I would never have thought of putting a pink wig on a doll, but it looks perfect on Chloe!  (I now have a couple of pink wigs for my dolls too).  This one is "J-rock" in sugar pink by Monique Wigs.  Sadly this colour is no longer made, but we can enjoy it on Chloe here.
Picture

This Chloe is actually a sleeping Chloe who has had her eyes opened up and her elf ears modified to become human.  (Dreaming Chloe has human ears too).

Saffron (Fairyland Elf Chloe) takes a nostalgic trip back to the Seventies in BurdaStyle maxidress style #103:
Picture

               It falls in a beautiful bell around her feet, and features trumpet-shaped sleeves.

             Saffron's wig is "Cara" in golden brown, by Monique Wigs.

She's a human dreaming Siean, with eyes modded open and a face-up by Angel Toast.

I now have eight Feeple65 face-plates and three bodies... it's a great way to ring the changes.

Siean's stunning gown is by MonaeGlow. Her earrings are by me.

Going Boho...

Ah, my poor neglected blog...  actually I was waiting to post this entry until I had made a macrame belt for Boho #4, but I have to learn to make macrame knots first, and that could take a while...

I just love Boho chic...  it speaks to me of Summer and leisure-time; carefree and casual but still stylish and feminine.
Boho #1

As seen previously, being worn by beautiful Aria.  I just love her new "do" by Amadiz Studio.

Lace blouse is BurdaStyle pattern #116, and her "painted" skirt is a gift from my friend Lyanne.
Picture

Boho #2

Lady "B"  (Beatrice) - Iplehouse Carina - is as elegant as always in a tie-front tunic top in a stunning poppy-flowered fabric, given to me by my neighbour.  She is accompanied by Commander Bane (Benedict).

Pattern is Lekala #5196.
Picture

Boho #3

Topaz  (also known as "Rose"), fresh from getting a wonderful fresh, dewy face-up by Vitta-Vera, in a lace top and rose necklace by SisenDesigns, and trousers in a floral cotton print.
Picture

Her wig is by Amadiz Studio.  Isn't wonderful?  I love the red-gold colour, which is very difficult to find.  The style is reminiscent of portraits of nymphs by Botticelli.  I guess that is why it is called "Golden Renaissance"!
Picture

Boho #4

"Saffron" (Elf Chloe) arrives!

I made her a retro dress  (BurdaStyle pattern #V11).
Picture

She has a wonderful face-up, by "Pretty".  I don't know anything about the face-up artist, except that I think they are based in Europe.
Picture

Boho #5:  Bell-sleeved tunic, modelled by Lady B.

The pattern is Leko #4270, from the Bootstrapfashion.com site.

So... I have actually been doing stuff... just not posting about it....

The Final Chloe...

A while ago I sent off two Fairyland 2010 Event face-plates off to get new face-ups.
Picture
First one back home was the one I sent to Nomyens in Thailand (see post below), and a week ago I got Chloe back from Angel Toast in the USA.  Both have had their eyes opened up a little more.

Whew!  She's a scorcher!
Picture
 So I now have;

Dreaming Chloe (no eye mod) with face-up by Deadly Nightshade; (seen here with Iplehouse Victor);
Picture

Sleeping Chloe with modded ears & eyes, with face-up by Deadly Nightshade;
Picture

Dreaming Chloe with eye opening and face-up by Nomyens;

And now;

Dreaming Chloe with eye opening and face-up by Angel Toast.

I think I can stop collecting Chloes now....

End of the Road...

11/29/2015

Well, it was going to be the end of the road for my old batik pants, much the worse the wear after having been demoted to gardening duty...

I'd downloaded a BurdaStyle pattern for a blouse, and was making a test piece from the pants fabric, when I noticed that the placement of the sun motifs on one front piece and one sleeve looked really great - so I ended up creating a batik tunic instead of the blouse I intended.

The pattern worked out really well - Burda #110, Euro size 36 reduced to 35% of original size (easy to do since the pattern is a pdf file), if anyone is interested.  Angelika (Feeple65 Angela) is rather voluptuous so I did add a little more room to the front edge of the blouse to give it more overlap.

This will also fit medium bust SID and EID Iplehouse girls.

I really did like those pants...  so I'm glad they're still around.  Sort of.

Angelika now has new 14mm glass eyes from HandCraft in green hazel.  Her face-up is by Angel Toast.

One of my two extra Dreaming Chloe face-plates came back from Nomyens with her new face-up.

I intended that she look a little bit flirty, and I can safely say that Chloe is all that... and maybe a little bit more?
Picture
Her earrings are by LyanneNZ.

She is wearing a pretty BoHo lace dress from Iplehouse.

Again, she has a little help to support her posing with the "invisible" stand from Alice Collections.
