Here's something I missed posting in 2016 - Gloriana's new wig from Amadiz Studio! Gloriana is a Dollmore Rainbowglow Sylvan Tattoo Hayarn - hmm, I wonder why Dollmore called her that? :) Her wig is style "Fleur de Lis" in garnet - a wonderfully intricate hairstyle which suits her personality to a tee, and which complements her beautiful face without unduly obsuring her facial 'tattoos'. Her lovely face-up is by artist 'Vitta Vera' of San Francisco. She has been given a far more vibrant look than her original rather sombre company face-up, but one which is now more in sympathy with her body's pictoral themes. I haven't even begun to photograph all her beautiful tattoos - they cover her entire body! The outlines are etched into her body which have been inked in brown/black, then she has been meticulously coloured. I love the sleeping kitten on one elbow! The hair ornament perfectly echoes the crest of the peacock on her back:

This is the first photo that I've taken of Dollmore "Invisible Tattoo" Misia! (Actually, Sara, since I've replaced Misia's head with Sara's).
I got this wig from Jpopdolls ("Autumn Dream" I think) for my FID-size Raffine, but it looks charming on Sara. She's so tiny! She's only 17 inches tall. Hayarn reminds me so much of porcelain painted with pretty floral designs, that I decided to have some fun showing her roaming the house in magpie fashion, collecting things that caught her eye. There are more photos of Hayarn here; www.flickr.com/photos/fringe_of_heaven/albums/72157671459728105 Last year I purchased a Dollmore Rainbow Sylvan Hayarn and she languished, unstrung, in the closet for months while I decided what to do about her. I did not like her face-up, and she sported a chip out of her upper torso which was right in the front and sadly all too obvious. Eventually, I sent her off to Vitta Vera for a new face-up and hopefully a repair to her chip. Akiko (Vitta Vera) is so great to deal with - so creative and helpful! She came up with the idea of smoothing the chip, and then disguising it by painting the edge to match Hayarn's body tattoos. It is now practically invisible. I wanted a brighter, prettier face-up for Hayarn. You can see her original sales page here; Hayarn's transformation proved more difficult than I envisaged - the rose and butterfly on her temple proved to be 'etched' in (as are her body tattoos), so new designs weren't feasible. But Akiko did a wonderful job of repainting them in a completely new colour-way, and giving her a pretty new face-up. Here is her original face-up; And here is her beautiful new bejewelled self; Isn't she wonderful? Her new name is Gloriana, because somehow she makes me think of an Elizabethan fairy.
Does she remind you of anyone? She's the tattoo sister of Xochilt (Princess of Flowers) - tattoo Socheon, my banner girl. I've just realized that I never posted pictures of my banner lady! Here she is; Dollmore Tattoo Socheon, given the name of Xochilt (pronounced So-cheel) by my friend Bren. Yes, she is tattooed ALL over her body. They are beautiful. The tattoos are inscribed into the resin surface, and then inked. Edit: I should add that the tattoos must have been inscribed on the model from which she was cast. Ten copies of each of this model (colour scheme) were made, and she is the second model. There are two more models after her. The black colour appears to have been brushed into the incisions with just the coloured portions being painted. That's still a lot of work! And the original model was painted all over. To me, she is embodiment of joy and Spring. She is photographed here with spring flowers from my garden, photographed in October, I think. Spot the unicorn...
