Roses for a lady fair...
I do believe she likes them!
Iplehouse Bane's suit is by Soom, for Idealian male, and Lady B's (Iplehouse Carina) lovely outfit is by Lyanne.
You can see more of Lyanne's creations on her Flickr site;
Well, okay - one return - Bane, fresh from getting his new face-up from Angel Toast.
But both I and Lady B are happy to see him!
So now we know what Lady B was hiding behind her back a couple of posts ago... a diamond tiepin. I think Bane likes it...
Lady B is an Iplehouse Carina, and her face-up is also by Angel Toast.
Bane's suit is by Soom (limited edition, for Idealian man), his shirt and tiepin are by Freedom Teller and his tie is from an ebay seller.
My Iplehouse EID man Bane returned recently from having a new face-up done for him by BJD artist Angel Toast. The face-up model was the character "Bard" from the third "Hobbit" movie, as he has a similarly lean face, and I loved his sideburns.
So naturally, I had to try and style him similarly for his grand debut on Flickr!
I've taken up crocheting again, and made Lady B (Iplehouse Carina) a blue bikini.
Lady B is eager to try it out;
Lady B loves a challenge...
Game, set and... match?
Bane's beautiful suit is by Freedom Teller.
Commander Bane visits the Yacht Club - appropriately dressed of course!
Bane's new outfit is by South Korean doll outfitters FreedomTeller.
And Lady B moves swiftly to preempt any competition... :)
Ah, my poor neglected blog... actually I was waiting to post this entry until I had made a macrame belt for Boho #4, but I have to learn to make macrame knots first, and that could take a while...
I just love Boho chic... it speaks to me of Summer and leisure-time; carefree and casual but still stylish and feminine.
As seen previously, being worn by beautiful Aria. I just love her new "do" by Amadiz Studio.
Lace blouse is BurdaStyle pattern #116, and her "painted" skirt is a gift from my friend Lyanne.
Lady "B" (Beatrice) - Iplehouse Carina - is as elegant as always in a tie-front tunic top in a stunning poppy-flowered fabric, given to me by my neighbour. She is accompanied by Commander Bane (Benedict).
Pattern is Lekala #5196.
Topaz (also known as "Rose"), fresh from getting a wonderful fresh, dewy face-up by Vitta-Vera, in a lace top and rose necklace by SisenDesigns, and trousers in a floral cotton print.
Her wig is by Amadiz Studio. Isn't wonderful? I love the red-gold colour, which is very difficult to find. The style is reminiscent of portraits of nymphs by Botticelli. I guess that is why it is called "Golden Renaissance"!
"Saffron" (Elf Chloe) arrives!
I made her a retro dress (BurdaStyle pattern #V11).
She has a wonderful face-up, by "Pretty". I don't know anything about the face-up artist, except that I think they are based in Europe.
Boho #5: Bell-sleeved tunic, modelled by Lady B.
The pattern is Leko #4270, from the Bootstrapfashion.com site.
So... I have actually been doing stuff... just not posting about it....
I was so pleased with Bane's new look that I immediately took some photos of him with Lady B.
I love this elegant backdrop - it's in neutral shades so doesn't distract from the photo subjects.
Bane is obviously ready to relax;
"Oh... were we going out tonight?"
"Shall we order in instead?"
Bane also now has the new slender EID hands, which go particularly well with the EID model body.
Here is much the same shot, with his former hairstyle and hands;
And I can't resist including this shot of Lady B in her new finery;
I loved the look of this wig from Iplehouse...
Both photos below are from Iplehouse's website.
When I got it, it actually looks like this...
Hmm... yes, Iplehouse are correct - it does need to be styled by the owner!
So, after a bit of combing and pulling, it looked like this; not bad, but still not like the Iplehouse photos. It has a strong wave which needs to be straightened out at the back, and it needs trimming. I wish Iplehouse would show how it was done.
I suppose given the wig's original appearance, that some-one with a bit of hair-dressing knowledge could do the same sort of thing to many soft synthetic mohair wigs.
However, for some reason I decided to try it on Bane. I really wanted to give him a contemporary style and his curly wig really wasn't doing it for me.
A bit of brushing back from the forehead, and some careful snipping at the sides and back; and voila!
It could do with a little tidying at the back, but I'll leave for when I'm feeling a bit braver.
Lady Beatrice is looking particularly fetching in a lovely rose cocktail dress by LyanneNZ... is she entertaining tonight?
"Expecting company, my dear?"
"You could say that..."
And hot on Tiare's heels came Lady B (Beatrice of Brynnr)!
She is a normal skin EID woman Carina, with default face-up B. She is wearing her default brown acrylic Iplehouse eyes. What I like about these acrylics is that they are not only life-like, but they have a "stem" which makes it easy to move them for more expression.
She also has chest and hand blushing done by Iplehouse.
Iplehouse produced her in only four weeks!
She has been paired with Agent Bane of Special Division;
Who obviously thinks she looks mighty fine;
Lady B's pretty earrings are by DoA member LyanneNZ.
Based in New Zealand, I've been a collector of ball-jointed dolls since 2011.
