Happy 2018 everyone!
I celebrated New Year's Eve with a friend, and we did a photo-shoot with my Iplehouse Raffine - the one with the body art painted by BJD face-up artist Vitta Vera. I'd made a thirties-style gown in pleated gold fabric for the celebrations, and I think she looks pretty wonderful! Her beautiful wig is "Marianne", by Amadiz Studio.

I got two more wigs from Amadiz Studio - these wigs are just gorgeous. This is "Milady" in copper, modeled by Iplehouse Doria; Doria is in the "glow" realskin resin and is wearing urethane eyes by EnchantedDoll Eyes. Her jewellery is by Lyanne. My new Iplehouse EID woman is Lahela, in glow peach gold resin. This is a lovely warm colour which photographs beautifully; Her wig is "Skyfall", which is a lovely silky blond with aqua streaks at the ends. Lahela aka "Lark" is also wearing urethane eyes by EnchantedDoll Eyes. Lark is wearing a silk crepe top made by me - I made a few of these over winter, to go with stretch jeans made by Lyanne. Monica arrived from RaccoonDoll at the end of April. She is dark mocha, which is a lovely dark brown. I fitted her with new Iplehouse JID hands and FID high heel feet in light brown - and excellent match to RaccoonDoll dark mocha; but unfortunately her delicate wrists got a little scratched during the operation, which is very annoying. I will have to gently sand the scrapes with some fine jeweler's sandpaper. She is wearing a sweater by KawkanaStyle, and her wig is by SartoriaJ. Her eyes are by Enchanted Doll. I made her bangle - this is very easy to do - just use some jewelry wire from a craft store - thread on small beads and make a loop at both ends. Bend the bangle around the doll's wrist - so much easier than trying to make a catch! I also got her a Monique wig "Taylor", in "golden glaze". This photo is by Lyanne; I then felt inspired to unpack a black Iplehouse FID outfit and pop her in it; The shoes and ankle decoration are by SartoriaJ. Monica is wearing her Iplehouse FID heel feet here - the shoes are not quite a perfect fit so she is not standing by herself but is leaning a little against the backdrop. Here's something I missed posting in 2016 - Gloriana's new wig from Amadiz Studio! Gloriana is a Dollmore Rainbowglow Sylvan Tattoo Hayarn - hmm, I wonder why Dollmore called her that? :) Her wig is style "Fleur de Lis" in garnet - a wonderfully intricate hairstyle which suits her personality to a tee, and which complements her beautiful face without unduly obsuring her facial 'tattoos'. Her lovely face-up is by artist 'Vitta Vera' of San Francisco. She has been given a far more vibrant look than her original rather sombre company face-up, but one which is now more in sympathy with her body's pictoral themes. I haven't even begun to photograph all her beautiful tattoos - they cover her entire body! The outlines are etched into her body which have been inked in brown/black, then she has been meticulously coloured. I love the sleeping kitten on one elbow! The hair ornament perfectly echoes the crest of the peacock on her back:
Well, Iplehouse Aria with her sweet face, anyway... I tried out a blond Amadiz Studio on her and it looks great! This is a custom wig which I had made for Iplehouse Doria. It is available to purchase from Amadiz Studio - I think it is called "Innocence". Very appropriate! Aria's outfit and earrings were made by me. Aria is in light brown resin. Iplehouse are now making this resin colour much darker, which is unfortunate if one wants to one spare hands and feet.
I have a play with wigs, giving my displays a fresh look...
This is Amadiz Studio wig "Aphrodite", modelled by Soom Breccia (on a new SuperGem body); I have some fun with Raffine, a large photo and a new Amadiz Studio wig. Amadiz Studio wigs are awesome! Jane (Iplehouse Raffine) gets a new gown and her hair styled by AmadizStudio; Jane's gown is made up by me from BurdaStyle pattern #123. The waist grippers are from a doll stand - I don't trust the Iplehouse EID ankles to keep her steady! Jane's elegant chignon is by AmadizStudio. Jane's beautiful face-up, hand-blushing and body art is by BJD face-up artist Vitta vera. Leilani's fabulous new "do" is called "Hot Chocolate", and is made from natural hand-dyed angora goat fibre. It's so soft! This wonderful wig has been created by AmadizStudio of St.Petersburg. Their wigs are available from Etsy, but they are opening their own website at the end of this month. AmadizStudio will be selling custom-made outfits as well - very exciting! Pretty Leilani is an Iplehouse Aria in light brown resin. She is an SID doll, but she is wearing nYID hands here. Her manicure is by me. Iplehouse have decided to change the colour of their light brown resin - it will be much darker from now on. This is a little disappointing as newly purchased optional hands and feet will not match. The colour difference is very noticeable. Aria got a new holiday outfit; BurdaStyle pattern #116, and a pretty skirt by LyanneNZ to got with it; You can only just see the 'invisible' stand from Alice's Collections in the lower photograph. Oops! Aria's wig is by AmadizStudios. Isn't it wonderful? |
