I was going to sell this gown... so I thought I'd take some nice photos of it - now I don't want to sell it! The lovely model is my lplehouse Aria, in light brown resin. She is a couple of years old, and the current light brown is darker - very close to RacconDoll dark mocha (conveniently!). Her oh-so-beautiful wig is "Aphrodite", by Amadiz Studio, and her earrings are by me. Oddly enough, the top skirts of this gown are photographing as a lemon colour - which I thought is was from the promotional photos. However, they are actually a creme brulee, which is more apparent in this photo. The model here is my Feeple65 Angela. For some reason, it is easier to get the SID-size MonaeGlow gowns on Angela than on an SID (very tight squeeze - good thing they don't have to breathe!).

Well, not really - but I did order Iplehouse Isis in normal skin through Iplehouse Doll Choice to get my Doria an HID body and got her the limited Haute Couture face-up. I popped Isis on Doria's SID body when she arrived. Isis came out on an nYID body but she looks lovely on the more athletic SID body too. She had default acrylic eyes when she arrived that had quite large irises; So I found her some glass eyes in a light blue which I thought looked better on her; She's doing a nice "Grace Kelly" pose here; this is a lovely gown by Thai ebay seller MonaeGlow. Monica arrived from RaccoonDoll at the end of April. She is dark mocha, which is a lovely dark brown. I fitted her with new Iplehouse JID hands and FID high heel feet in light brown - and excellent match to RaccoonDoll dark mocha; but unfortunately her delicate wrists got a little scratched during the operation, which is very annoying. I will have to gently sand the scrapes with some fine jeweler's sandpaper. She is wearing a sweater by KawkanaStyle, and her wig is by SartoriaJ. Her eyes are by Enchanted Doll. I made her bangle - this is very easy to do - just use some jewelry wire from a craft store - thread on small beads and make a loop at both ends. Bend the bangle around the doll's wrist - so much easier than trying to make a catch! I also got her a Monique wig "Taylor", in "golden glaze". This photo is by Lyanne; I then felt inspired to unpack a black Iplehouse FID outfit and pop her in it; The shoes and ankle decoration are by SartoriaJ. Monica is wearing her Iplehouse FID heel feet here - the shoes are not quite a perfect fit so she is not standing by herself but is leaning a little against the backdrop. I got my order from Etsy store KawkanaStyle, so I got out my RaccoonDoll ladies and my sole FID woman and changed them into autumn gear. Iplehouse FID Raffine looks lost in an autumn reverie... memories of springtime, perhaps? Her pretty jumper and stretch denims (actually leggings) are by KawkanaStyle. She just manages to squeeze into a pretty pair of boots by Paul Zhangby (actually for RaccoonDoll, who have smaller feet!) Laetitia gets stretch denims as well, and some French flair - a striped top and lavender beret scarf made by Lyanne. Lucky Laetitia! Gene gets a rose top and leggings by KwakanaStyle; And Smiling Gene gets her first outing!
She got a lovely vibrant orange knit ensemble from Iplehouse, and also new feet from Iplehouse! The feet & shoes fit together (no toes - does that make her the Pobble Who Has No Toes? :) ) RaccoonDoll girls can 'wear' Iplehouse JID and FID hands, and also high heel FID feet which allows them to wear American Model shoes which would be otherwise too large. Iplehouse normal skin matches very well with RaccoonDoll normal, Iplehouse real skin with RD sweet mocha, and Iplehouse light brown with RD dark mocha. Smiling Gene was a tiny bit wobbly on these feet, so got a stand to make sure she didn't fall while I was taking photographs. Doll meet! A couple of friends came over, and of course some of their dolls came for a visit too! We always have lots of fun, and it's great to see their dolls. Wow! Check out the legs on Helen's new HID Lahela! Her beautiful Doria came too; Lahela and Doria's clothing is by Iplehouse. Their shoes are by Paul Zhangby (ebay).
Lyanne brought along her FID couple Arvid & Stella - she has painted their faces herself - what a talented lady! I made Stella's sweater - it's a little too small for FID woman and looks better on a 16 inch Ficon fashion doll (it's from a Barbie knitwear book), and Arvid's sweater is by Lyanne's mom I think. Yowser! Four months since my last update! How sad is that? Things have been a bit slow doll-wise, but some things have happened... for one, I sent my Carina off to Angel Toast for a fresh face-up and she came back looking lovelier than ever but still, quintessentially still my Lady B. Here she is with the Iplehouse face-up she had before she went off - beautiful... but I wanted something similar but a little more sophisticated. So, here she is back from Angel Toast looking somewhat more sultry and mysterious... and now of course I realize that I need to take more photos of her! |
