This essentially is a post to evaluate the fit of EID women's clothing on HID women.
In actual fact, their feet are the same size, however medium bust HID woman's body is not the same shape as that of medium bust EID woman. HID woman is taller, not outrageously so, but enough that her upper torso is longer than that of EID woman, affecting the fit of upper clothing. Being of a more "athletic" build, HID woman has smaller breasts and a broader back than EID woman who has a more "lingerie" body with plump breasts and wide hips.
The photo below shows the height difference between the two - well within natural human variation. The black sheath dress is from Iplehouse and the other outfit is custom clothing made by Lyanne for her EID Carina, shown her with my HID Doria. All photos are by Lyanne.
Looking good, ladies!
Now when the outfits are reversed - oh dear - observe how the fit of the top now looks all wrong on Doria - her broader back has made it hard to fasten it at the back, and it is also pulled too high under her breasts due to her height. The top needs more width at the back, and an adjustment to the overlap at the front to look properly fitted. EID pants on the other hand, fit perfectly, and even the length is fine.
Interestingly, Carina also has a problem with the Iplehouse black sheath although it is supposed to fit her - it's too low at the front resulting in multiple "wardrobe malfunctions" even while standing upright.
It actually fits Doria better. The scooped neckline is sexy, but still discrete, and the black sheath emphasises her slimness.
She doesn't fare as well with the EID top; just not a good look...
I hope this post is useful for those contemplating getting an HID lady!
Doria's turn to show off her assets!

What lies beneath... thanks, Louie!
Here are a sample of Lyanne's stunning pics of my RaccoonDoll Laetitia. I think you'll agree with me that she does amazing work! Please take the time to visit her Flickr site and view her fantastic photos.
Laetitia got popped into a violet JID lingerie set and set to lounging on pillows;
Her wig is by jpopdolls, and her jewellery by Iplehouse. Her fabulous face-up is by Vitta Vera.
I think Laetitia is contemplating a new career as a lingerie model!
Here's something I missed posting in 2016 - Gloriana's new wig from Amadiz Studio!
Gloriana is a Dollmore Rainbowglow Sylvan Tattoo Hayarn - hmm, I wonder why Dollmore called her that? :)
Her wig is style "Fleur de Lis" in garnet - a wonderfully intricate hairstyle which suits her personality to a tee, and which complements her beautiful face without unduly obsuring her facial 'tattoos'. Her lovely face-up is by artist 'Vitta Vera' of San Francisco. She has been given a far more vibrant look than her original rather sombre company face-up, but one which is now more in sympathy with her body's pictoral themes.
I haven't even begun to photograph all her beautiful tattoos - they cover her entire body!
The outlines are etched into her body which have been inked in brown/black, then she has been meticulously coloured. I love the sleeping kitten on one elbow!
The hair ornament perfectly echoes the crest of the peacock on her back:
I spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with my friend Lyanne who is also a BJD collector and we had a wonderful time dressing up and photographing my RaccoonDoll Laetitia and my HID Doria. Lyanne ended up taking all the photos so I'll have to ask her permission to publish a few of them here on my blog. She is a wonderful photographer - she did all the dressing, posing and staging as well. In the meantime you can see them on her Flickr site - well worth visiting for all Lyanne's wonderful photos of her dolls - here is a link;
I did manage to photograph my Iplehouse FID man Lawrence, who doesn't look impressed by all the female chatter;
PS: Lawrence's new wig is by Lyanne!
Based in New Zealand, I've been a collector of ball-jointed dolls since 2011.
