Last year I purchased a Dollmore Rainbow Sylvan Hayarn and she languished, unstrung, in the closet for months while I decided what to do about her. I did not like her face-up, and she sported a chip out of her upper torso which was right in the front and sadly all too obvious. Eventually, I sent her off to Vitta Vera for a new face-up and hopefully a repair to her chip. Akiko (Vitta Vera) is so great to deal with - so creative and helpful! She came up with the idea of smoothing the chip, and then disguising it by painting the edge to match Hayarn's body tattoos. It is now practically invisible. I wanted a brighter, prettier face-up for Hayarn. You can see her original sales page here; Hayarn's transformation proved more difficult than I envisaged - the rose and butterfly on her temple proved to be 'etched' in (as are her body tattoos), so new designs weren't feasible. But Akiko did a wonderful job of repainting them in a completely new colour-way, and giving her a pretty new face-up. Here is her original face-up; And here is her beautiful new bejewelled self; Isn't she wonderful? Her new name is Gloriana, because somehow she makes me think of an Elizabethan fairy.
Does she remind you of anyone? She's the tattoo sister of Xochilt (Princess of Flowers) - tattoo Socheon, my banner girl.
